Brief update October 2005

The following information
is
from Bill Patterson 

1. New President of Portland City Council--Elana Pirtle-Guiney--Spoke during meeting.

  

2.Toiling of I-5 Bridge--coming in spring of 2026 for certain.  Amount of toiling still uncertain but will go into the distant future.

  

3. Levee Project--Is live and ongoing planning and beginning late 2026.(.Portland Metro Levee Summary update)

4. I-5 Bridge Construction. Is long ways off--Federal funding problematic...Lots of bureaucratic speak but timing very

far off.  It will affect all off north Portland and significantly larger than just a new bridge. Final design is still in planning.
